6 Weeks Old- And Growing like a weed!

So, again- I apologize I really suck at updating our blog on a timely basis!!! As you can see it has been quite a few weeks! Anyways- things here in New Ulm are going great!!! Preston is growing day by day- Each day is amazing- Like I have said before, I am truly loving being home with him every day!!! Being a Mom, is so amazing!!!
Well since our last blog entry- a few things have changed!!! First and foremost, I will not be returning to work at Christensen Farms- I have actually gone back to working at Concordia Lanes/Kegel Klub (part time at night)- This way I can be a stay at home Mommy :) And then also, the same day this was decided, Paul quit his job with Subway, and has taken a new position as a manager of the new Happy Joes opening in Mankato, MN. He started there last week, and so far the hours have been horrible- but that is just because they first open the new store a week from today- so there is a lot to get prepared for right now- So starting next week Paul is back to working 6:30 til 2:00- and beleive me, I appreciate those hours so much better than the 5-8ish he is pulling right now, especially since I need to get to work around 6 pm as well- So yes, our lives are back to being quite crazy...we are trying to make time for eachother as well- lately we see eachother for about an hour a day, but again that will all change again next week :) On top of work and spending time with Preston, we are still playing on a co-ed volleyball league here in New Ulm.
Preston is doing amazing!!! Like I stated before he is growing like a week- Literally, two weeks ago he was still able to wear some of his newborn clothing, now we are starting to get into our 3-6 month clothing!!! So yes, he is growing!!! He is such a strong baby though- he loves to sit up, and he holds his head up so well. And his new thing now is standing!!! His little legs are so strong!!! So we are so very proud of him and amazed at the things he does each day- he is growing up so fast!!! He loves to smile and laugh all the time...(Especially when he pees on Mom!) Yes that is right I have been peed on 7 times!!! It has been wonderful :) Haha!!!
Anyways- here are some of the most recent pictures of Preston...Take care all of you- and I will try to update this again soon!!!

Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you Preston is going to his first baseball game this friday- Minnesota Twins vs. Detroit Tigers- I am VERY torn whether I should put his MN Twins outfit on him for the game- it might look a bit strange, him in a Twins outfit and his Mom in all Tiger gear :) Oh well!!! Haha
Take care!!! And much love to you all~
(Pictures are in order from Easter until present)

Happy Late Easter!

Hello there!!! Well as you can see I failed to put up new pictures of Preston last week...Annette, I don't know how you keep up with this every week!!! I give you props woman!!! Things are just so busy all the time it is hard to find time to update our website!!! Anyways...well I hope this finds you all back home safe from the Easter weekend. I hope everyone had a wonderful and blessed Easter! We have had a very eventful week and a half here in New Ulm. On April 1st, 2007, Preston was baptized! Of course I cried...it was a wonderful day. And to my surprise Preston slept through the whole thing! I thought for sure he would scream, considering everytime I give him a bath, you would think the world was coming to an end with the way he screams!!! But it was wonderful...Paul and I were very proud of our son!! (that still sounds so wierd!!!) But actually, April 1st was also Paul's sister, Hailies, confirmation- so like I said it was a very busy day...however, it was very nice to have so many family members around!!! Last week was still quite eventful as well~ We still have been having lots of visitors to see Preston- so I feel like I am constantly cleaning- haha, but that is ok, that is just me being anal!!! But Preston is doing amazing!!! I love him so much!! Last week he figured out that he could blow bubbles in his spit...it was hilarious! And he loves his hands so much!! As you can see from the pictures above, he loves to sleep with his hands near his face- it is so cute. Preston is truly a blessing from God, he has changed our lives so much-for the better of course!!! It is amazing how much in just two and a half weeks he has grown!!!

Preston also had a very good first Easter...we didn't actually do too much- My Dad and Sister came down from the cities (Mom had to go home to Michigan)- we went to church and then went to the country club for brunch- and after that just came back to our house and hung out...of course Dad and Paul had to watch the Masters tourney...so Emily and I were bored to tears!!! Thank goodness for Preston and the dogs...otherwise we might have picked eachother's eyes out!!! Haha...but all in all it was a very good Easter! And of course the Easter bunny came! Preston got a book, his very first bunny stuffed animal, and Elmo see and say and some chocolate (which Paul will eat of course!)

Anyways, I hope all is well with all of you!!! I will try and keep this updated in a timely matter!! At least with pictures of Preston of course...it should be easy- I think I have taken almost 240 pictures of him already since he was born!!! haha...I just want to capture every moment!!! Anyways~! Take Care and God Bless...

Presenting Preston Steven Holm!

Hello Everyone!!! I apologize it has taken me a week to get on here and update our blog...But for those of you who do not know, we did have our baby last thursday, 3/22/2007, and we had a boy. His name is Preston Steven. He was born at 10:29 am. and was 21 1/2 inches long and weighed 7 lbs. 14 1/2 ounces. I was induced the night before, so it made for about 14 hours of labor, but I actually slept through some of it due to the wonderful pain medication I was given!!! Preston is truly a blessing though- Paul and I are truly enjoying being parents!!! We can not imagine life with out Preston...So anyways posted above is our tiny wonder!!! (and one last picture of me pregnant!- we took that about 10 minutes before we left for the hospital) Preston is truly a blessing from God!!! I hope all of you are doing well...I will try and post more pictures of Preston in a timely matter that my previous blogs!!! Preston gets baptized this weekend so I will try and updated this web site next week...Love you all...

One...Two...Three!!!

As of February 17th about 3:30 am...we have expanded our family!!! No, no baby yet- however we do now have three adorable puppies!!! That's right Bella is the proud Mommy of three!!! She began having her babies around 3:30 am. saturday morning...and although it created a very sleepless night for me- it was very interesting to watch and help her through it. She is doing wonderful, and so are the puppies!!! All three pups are female and are looking like they are going to look like there Daddy, Baxter. And although Bella won't let Baxter near her babies, Baxter does like to look at them!!! So yeh, if anyone is interested, these pups will be ready to go around the second week of April- If you are interested, please let us know!!!

Other than Paul and I are doing wonderful...getting very anxious for this baby to arrive!!! Only 4 weeks now, and I cannot wait!!! Any day now I would be happy to go to the hospital and have this kid :) I just want to meet it so bad!!! However, I cannot complain yet- I am still feeling great, and getting around just fine. Actually this past weekend I spent most of Saturday serving beer at Bock Fest, so yeh it really hasn't slowed me down yet!! I am just hoping Paul does a little better with me giving birth than he did Bella...Cross your fingers for me!!! Otherwise I think my husband will be in the bed next to me!!! Haha...

Anyways, we will keep you posted with pictures of the puppies and of our baby when it arrives!!! Hope everyone is doing well...Take Care~!

Ok...here it is...I am not a big fan of this picture at all...but there it is!! Baby Holm!!! Growing by the day :)

Pregnant Bella

Ooops!!! Here is the picture of Bella I was talking about before!!!

It's been a while...

So it's been a REALLY long time since I have gotten around to updating our profile...Sorry!!! I guess with the holidays and everything I got distracted doing other things!!! Well first of all I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday season!!! I was actually able to make it home one last time for Christmas...In year's to come Paul and I will be too busy playing Santa to make it home :) It was SO nice being home...I had a wonderful Baby shower while I was home, thrown by my Aunts, and it was SO nice to see everyone. I actually was home for over a week...so it was a very nice break from the real world!!! Paul was able to fly in Christmas Eve as well and spend Christmas with my family...we then drove back to Minnesota together (and Baxter and Bella) the day after Christmas.
I am now 34 weeks pregnant and still feeling pretty good. Last week I went through a period where my back and hips were just killing me, however that has seemed to go away!!! Thank goodness!!! This is one active baby though...I love being able to feel it's movements all the time...now I am just getting VERY anxious to meet this little being inside of me. Only 6 more weeks (or less!!- at least I am hoping!!) I will post a picture of my pregnant self sometime this week. Paul swears I am growing by the day- the good thing is the only part of me that seems to be growing is my stomach!!! As of two weeks ago at my last appointment I had still only gained 9 lbs. total, so here is hoping this week when I go in they still tell me a nice and low number!! But other than that we are all set for the baby to arrive. Dad came out two weeks ago with the rest of the baby's stuff...Baxter and Bella are pretty unsure of what all this stuff is for, however I think they will be just fine once the baby arrives. Baxter did discover the other day that the baby's swing has toys attached to it~ Haha! That took a little convincing to get him to realize those toys were not for him!!!
For those of you who don't know this already, my little girl pup, Bella is also expecting. She went into her first heat cycle right before it was time to go home to Michigan for Christmas, and although we didn't want her to get pregnant this time around, Baxter and nature got there way and well yeh, puppies are due somewhere around February 20th. So not only will I have a baby to care for in 6 weeks or so, but I will still have puppies running around as well...(Things like this only happen to me...I swear!!!) Poor Bella is getting huge though, I have posted a picture of her taken last night...But hey the good thing is I am going to be pretty occupied taking care of puppies until the baby arrives- here's hoping Bella is a good Mom though!! Otherwise I will be doing alot more caring for these puppies that I want!! But hey if you know anyone that would be interested in a Doxie pup, please let me know :)
Well, as with most of you that read this, we are getting hit with this nice COLD streak that I am getting REALLY sick of. -8 degrees for the high just sucks...not to mention the wind chill today is -25. UGH! That is just way too cold...
Well hopefully you will be hearing from me sooner than it's been. Annette I promise to get a pregnant profile picture up here this week sometime :) Otherwise, everyone take care, stay warm and God Bless!~

Baby's First Pictures

Finally!!! We got to see Baby Holm!!! Today was my ultrasound...and I have not been this overwhelmed with happiness in a long time. The baby is healthy and strong. We got to see it moving like crazy...so much so, it took the lab tech a little longer to get the pictures she wanted!!! But the baby is good- it has two eyes, a nose, a mouth, two hands and two feet and its internal organs look wonderful!!! I just started to really be able to feel the baby moving and kicking me, and I love it!!! It weights about 14 ounces and is right on track to make its appearance to the world in March...As for me I am doing wonderful...I had another check up last week and to my surprise still have not gained any weight, but am doing wonderful! And for those of you who know my HUGE fear of needles and having blood drawn...you would be glad to know I did have my blood drawn last appointment with not even a single tear- I didn't even let Paul come along, because it was something I wanted to do on my own. (Annette, even though you weren't there or anything a huge thank you to you...because when they were beginning to draw my blood and while they were doing it I just kept thinking of you saying "Cool as a Cucumber"- And it worked!!! So THANK YOU!!!)
Other than the baby updates, Paul and I are doing wonderful...keeping busy as always- Last week of course was Halloween and we had our first experience with Trick or Treators...Didn't have as many kids stop by as we planned, but it was quite chilly out that night- However Baxter and Bella did wonderful...I thought they were going to go insane with that many people coming to the door- But they did great, Baxter barked at the first few kids, and Bella hid behind my legs, but other than that they did good...
The house is coming along, and hey we can almost park in the garage!!! Dad- No more stuff from Michigan :) I might get yelled at by Paul if I have more stuff :) My big accomplishment last week was putting together the baby's crib...ALL BY MYSELF...I am woman hear me roar!!! :) I think Paul was shocked last Monday when he came home from Bowling and I actually had the crib together...in one piece- with out messing it up :) I was pretty proud of myself!!! But the baby's room is actually looking like a baby's room now vs. a guest room- Baxter was so cute the other morning...Sometimes he actually sits up on his butt like he is begging, but he does it to be taller- anyways my closet is in the baby's room...so behind me in the mirror one morning I see Baxter sitting up on his butt just staring in the crib...he wouldn't touch it, but he kept looking in it to see if there was something in there...It was cute...
Anyways...Thats about all the news I have for now!!! I hope this finds you all happy and healthy!!! We miss you all and think of you often! I should get back to work...there is like 200 blood samples to be proccessed and shipped yet this afternoon (Gross I know, but thats what I do :)) Anyways- Take Care!!! Love Renee, Paul, Baby, Baxter and Bella

Shorter Days and Cooler Temps

Well Fall is for surely here, and winter not too far away...We actually may get flurries on Thursday!!! I might cry if our first snow this year comes in October!
Anyways, I had my third Doctor's appointment this week and Mom and Baby and doing great. I was all prepared to have blood drawn, but to my surpirse I didn't have to have it drawn!! Music to my ears!!! :) We got to hear the heart beat again and it was still 159 beats per minute...The baby is very active as well...The Doctor even said, "You've got an active one in there!". Next time we set up an appointment for an ultrasound!!! I cannot wait to see this little being inside of me!!! Other than that I am doing great...No swelling or any pregnancy side effects, so that makes me happy!!!
Tomorrow is MLC's homecoming, so I think the dogs and I may go walk up there and watch- We'll see...
Anyways, thats all I have for today!!!
I wanted to share these pictures with you though- This is Baxter and Bella in the leaves today...I tried to burry them but they don't sit still very long...Just long enough for me to snap a picture!!
Take Care Everyone!
