Baby's First Pictures

Finally!!! We got to see Baby Holm!!! Today was my ultrasound...and I have not been this overwhelmed with happiness in a long time. The baby is healthy and strong. We got to see it moving like crazy...so much so, it took the lab tech a little longer to get the pictures she wanted!!! But the baby is good- it has two eyes, a nose, a mouth, two hands and two feet and its internal organs look wonderful!!! I just started to really be able to feel the baby moving and kicking me, and I love it!!! It weights about 14 ounces and is right on track to make its appearance to the world in March...As for me I am doing wonderful...I had another check up last week and to my surprise still have not gained any weight, but am doing wonderful! And for those of you who know my HUGE fear of needles and having blood drawn...you would be glad to know I did have my blood drawn last appointment with not even a single tear- I didn't even let Paul come along, because it was something I wanted to do on my own. (Annette, even though you weren't there or anything a huge thank you to you...because when they were beginning to draw my blood and while they were doing it I just kept thinking of you saying "Cool as a Cucumber"- And it worked!!! So THANK YOU!!!)
Other than the baby updates, Paul and I are doing wonderful...keeping busy as always- Last week of course was Halloween and we had our first experience with Trick or Treators...Didn't have as many kids stop by as we planned, but it was quite chilly out that night- However Baxter and Bella did wonderful...I thought they were going to go insane with that many people coming to the door- But they did great, Baxter barked at the first few kids, and Bella hid behind my legs, but other than that they did good...
The house is coming along, and hey we can almost park in the garage!!! Dad- No more stuff from Michigan :) I might get yelled at by Paul if I have more stuff :) My big accomplishment last week was putting together the baby's crib...ALL BY MYSELF...I am woman hear me roar!!! :) I think Paul was shocked last Monday when he came home from Bowling and I actually had the crib together...in one piece- with out messing it up :) I was pretty proud of myself!!! But the baby's room is actually looking like a baby's room now vs. a guest room- Baxter was so cute the other morning...Sometimes he actually sits up on his butt like he is begging, but he does it to be taller- anyways my closet is in the baby's room...so behind me in the mirror one morning I see Baxter sitting up on his butt just staring in the crib...he wouldn't touch it, but he kept looking in it to see if there was something in there...It was cute...
Anyways...Thats about all the news I have for now!!! I hope this finds you all happy and healthy!!! We miss you all and think of you often! I should get back to work...there is like 200 blood samples to be proccessed and shipped yet this afternoon (Gross I know, but thats what I do :)) Anyways- Take Care!!! Love Renee, Paul, Baby, Baxter and Bella

Shorter Days and Cooler Temps

Well Fall is for surely here, and winter not too far away...We actually may get flurries on Thursday!!! I might cry if our first snow this year comes in October!
Anyways, I had my third Doctor's appointment this week and Mom and Baby and doing great. I was all prepared to have blood drawn, but to my surpirse I didn't have to have it drawn!! Music to my ears!!! :) We got to hear the heart beat again and it was still 159 beats per minute...The baby is very active as well...The Doctor even said, "You've got an active one in there!". Next time we set up an appointment for an ultrasound!!! I cannot wait to see this little being inside of me!!! Other than that I am doing great...No swelling or any pregnancy side effects, so that makes me happy!!!
Tomorrow is MLC's homecoming, so I think the dogs and I may go walk up there and watch- We'll see...
Anyways, thats all I have for today!!!
I wanted to share these pictures with you though- This is Baxter and Bella in the leaves today...I tried to burry them but they don't sit still very long...Just long enough for me to snap a picture!!
Take Care Everyone!

A Beautiful Day ln New Ulm

Hello!!! As you can see I have been busy uploading pictures today!!! I hope everyone enjoys them!!! It is truly a perfect day today. The sun is shinning, its not too hot, and not too cold, the trees are starting to turn all sorts of beautiful colors, and the smell of fall is in the air. I love days like today...This morning Baxter, Bella and I went for a walk around 7:30...it was perfect! There was hardly anyone outside and the sun had just begun shinning...we walked for about two hours today!! Needless to say both dogs are pretty much dead on the floor sleeping right now!!! Oh what can I tell you this week?! Well I have pretty much re-gained most of my energy that seemed to be gone the first couple of months of my pregnancy. All I seem to do lately is clean, it is like something inside of me has possessed me to make sure every spot of my house is spotless (I even went through all my make up today and wiped every individual thing down, crazy huh?)...I have read that can happen to some pregnant women!! Obviously it has happened to me, poor Paul...I am anal enough as is, now I am really anal!!! Oh well :) As I said before, it has been truly beautiful around here lately...I love fall! I even went and bought pumpkins today!!! I think Sept., Oct., and November are my most favorite months of the year...OHH!!! Exciting news in New Ulm this week...WE HAVE A DRUG STORE!!! Haha, thats right our first Walgreens opened up this week!!! I am so excited!!! It opened yesterday, and I can't beleive I haven't been there yet- Don't worry though, I am going there as soon as I finish this :) Can you tell I am supper happy about this Walgreens!!! Haha...its the little things that just make me so happy!!! I have my third doctors appt. this week, and I am pretty sure I am going to have to give blood again...I hate those needles so much!! Hopefully I won't ball my eyes out this time...I am such a baby when it comes to needles...oh well. Tomorrow begins my 16th week of pregnancy, and I am just starting to show a little...I am pretty sure I lost some weight recently, however I am starting to gain some back in my belly...but thats supposed to happen. My Doctor was worried at my last appt. actually because I had lost 4 lbs, since the visit before, which was only two weeks before that!!! Have no fear, I am eating though- I just working out alot more, and not drinking beer...It helps!!! Every day I get a little more excited about the baby and a little bit more nervous about the delivery... But like my Mom and I said today, if thousands of other women have done it, I can do it too (I hope!) Anywho, not too much new with Paul, he is off in Edgerton today coaching his high school bowling team today. Once he gets home we are off to a wedding dance...for those of you who know Chad (our manager at the bowling alley/bar where Paul and I worked) is getting married today. And it just so happens the reception is at Kegel (the bar I worked at)- So that should be alot of fun, not to mention I can still watch my Michigan Wolverines destory the stinky Minnesota Gophers. GO BLUE!!! Tomorrow I have to go to the Twins game with Paul and a couple of our friends....Like I told Mom today, I should put on my Tiger sweatshirt for the occassion, however I am afraid I might get killed by other fans...Well I hope all is well with you guys!! Miss you all dearly and think of you often!!!
With Love, Renee, Paul, Baby, Baxter and Bella

Our First House

Here it is guys! Paul and I's first house together...I do like it, it is so much better than my apartment!!! I have made it into a cute and cozy home...Baxter and Bella, love having a yard to run around in as well...

New address:
Paul and Renee Holm
321 South Jefferson
New Ulm, MN 56073

As you can see I spared you the bedrooms. Our room isn't complete yet (and its messy) and the baby's room right now is my "catch all" room until I find a dresser for Paul and I :)

Also, don't look at the dog toys on the floor or the sick husband on the couch!!! Haha!!!

Our first Blog!!

So I got this idea from the Ehlke family, and thought this would be a great idea considering most of our friends and family are spread all over North America as well!!! This way we can keep in touch with everyone using our blog...
Since, it is already getting below 50 degrees in Minnesota I figured I would update you on all the happenings of Paul and I's summer...It was a busy one!!!
As most of you know, our wedding was June 3, 2006 in Michigan, and to be completly honest I couldn't of asked for a more perfect day. (It did rain-I am still waiting to get rich!!!- But it did not spoil our day) It was a perfect day, I (almost) made it through the entire ceremony without crying, but knowing the sap I am...I balled...But the reception was a blast, I have to give my Mom credit for getting Mark from Alexo's to do our catering, that was the best wedding dinner I have ever had- (well the couple bites I had was amazing!!!) The dance was a blast, our DJ even told us, that our friends and family knew how to party!!! So way to go guys!!! The day after the wedding- Paul and I headed to Las Vegas for our honeymoon...What an amazing city!!! I had never been there before, however Paul had, so it was kind of nice because he knew what we shouldn't waste time on seeing and what we should see...and of course we spent plenty of time in front of the pool. You got to love sitting at the pool at nine am. with a margarita in hand!!! LOVE VACATION!!! So despite us not winning the big jack pot or anything, we did have a wonderful time in Las Vegas. Shortly after returning to Minnesota we purchased our very first house!!! It is an older, two bedroom house- but perfect for what we need right now...The couple that lived there before us had just re-painted and put in new carpeting so there wasn't too much that needed to be done immediately...Gents, we did get a house with not only a one stall garage, but also a three stall. Paul has big plans to insulate the three stall and build a tool bench and bar out there this winter...I told him to put a TV and a couch out there as well and he would never need to come in the house!!! Haha!! Anyways, so after we bought a house, a week later Renee found out she was pregnant!!! Within 6 weeks Paul and I got married, went on our honeymoon, bought a house and got pregnant!!! Apparently we work fast!!! Haha- No we had planned to have a baby, however we didn't think it would happen so fast, but apparently I am pretty fertile!!! So sometime around March 20th there will be a little Holm running around!!! Watch out world!!!
Other than that, Paul and I have spent the majority of the summer unpacking and making our house a home!!! Two weeks ago we did get to hear the babys heart beat...A sign of life!!! It was so exciting!!! But that brings us to now...and its starting to get cold...I thought Paul was nuts this morning when I saw him with his winter coat on, but here I sit in a turtle neck sweater!!!
Hope all is well with all of you- We will keep you in touch as to what is new with us!!! Take Care! ~ Renee, Paul, Baby, Baxter and Bella ~
